As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the safety program to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. You will lead a dedicated team and work closely with management to promote a culture of safety & compliance throughout the organization. Your role will involve:
– Developing & implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs
– Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations
– Investigating incidents & near misses, and providing recommendations for corrective actions
– Collaborating with project managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and implement best practices
– Keeping abreast of industry regulations and best practices to ensure the company’s safety program remains effective and up-to-date
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field – Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in the construction industry – Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs
$ remuneration/pay, commensurate, probably $115k – $140k base
